Frédéric Dechamps studied law at the Free University of Brussels (ULB) and obtained his graduate degree with honors. In the last year he followed the Erasmus program in Madrid. In 1997, Frédéric Dechamps became a member of the French section of the Brussels Bar. He is a member of the Commission for New Technologies at the Brussels Bar since 2002.
Frédéric regularly participates in symposia and conferences concerning his fields of competency: commercial law (trade practices, corporate law, etc.), intellectual property law (copyright, trademark law, etc.) and new technologies.
He worked in various law firms based in Brussels with activities in the fields of business law, trade practices and new technology regulations (NTIC). In 2008, he entered into a partnership with a copyright law professor (Carine Doutrelepont, Esq.) at the ULB. In 2010, he decided to establish his own law practice in partnership with Maxime Le Borne, Esq. under the name « DLB-Law ». Frédéric is also in charge of contract templates section on the website http://www.droitbelge.be. Frédéric speaks French, English and Spanish.
